Is a dull coat a sign of health problems in pets?

Yes! A dull coat along with dry or flaky skin is typically a sign your dog or cat is not getting proper food and nutrition. Pet fur contains protein. A dull-looking coat means they are not getting enough protein, fats and carbohydrates. Call us right away if you notice this in your furry friend.

How can I keep my dog or cat’s coat healthy?

Proper diet is key. Please don’t hesitate to call us for our recommendations on formulations and supplements (e.g. fish oils). Regular brushing and grooming is also important. Depending on the type of fur, your pet should be professionally groomed once every 6 weeks or so.
